Today, Rachel and Mikayla open the episode in high spirits in the reactor, finding new chests, gear and weapons for the crew. Lord knows we could use the upgrades! We get to use them in action right away and battle our life away in the reactor against some fun, well, not new. But more of the same enemies, but with new weapons. Making this a more fun experience. We also find the subversion materia. Meaning at some point we can use insta death in battle. HECK YEAH!!! AND RIGHT BEFORE A BOSS BATTLE. LETS GOOOO. Speaking of, Cloud and the gang enter into an area and well, it’s for sure boss time. Scarlet drops in with these new mako beasts and they are definitely a fun fight. For the first time in a little while, we have a fun battle with these new guys and are able to appreciate a good difficulty curve without wanting bang our heads against the wall. Scarlet, however, is doing her best to try to take us out. With cloud having issues with all the mako in the air, this fight seems at first is going to be lost. Flipping back to Tifa, Ardith, and Yuffie, it seems like Cloud will get rescued after all. We finally get those Chocobos that make this map EASY I mean EASY to navigate. The girls hit the reactor and have to grapple their way through. Hopefully reaching Cloud, Red XIII, Barrett, and Cait Sith in time.
