DESCRIPTION: Welcome to Part 32 of “Old Features Call of Duty hasn’t had in Years”. Today’s feature is Extinction Mode. Call of Duty: Ghosts was the first and only COD game to have Extinction Mode, a PvE mode where up to 4 players have to fight the aliens or “Cryptids”, complete objectives, earn upgrades, and try to survive. Extinction mode had a surprising amount of depth, including its own progression and prestige mode, easter eggs, intel, relics, and more. Extinction is also unique from round based zombies since you must either complete the map or fail the mission. We have never seen an alien PvE mode in another Call of Duty game…do you think they should try to bring this back? 🤔
