Audacity seems to be hard coded to export 6 channel 5.1 audio WAVs in a certain way that screws them up. These are the files I exported to test how screwed up they really are. They were ALL exported with the same settings. the first group only got two channels with stuff, the rest were blank, but the next group (of which I did the entire album) had stuff in all channels, but the last two channels were marked incorrectly in the WAV file, similarly to how a 7.1 file's last two channels are marked, except this isn't a 7.1 file.

We like to mock the incompetence of the paid software industry, but really, the community software is even worse. Welcome to the world.
