F-Zero GX: improved "AX mode" code demonstration [HD]
46thanks to fzeroman of fzerocentral for providing this improved version of the AX code.
this code makes GX look more like AX by changing the title screen's font, making the game display the AX information when you let the game sit idle and showing you the pilot points needed to buy the AX parts.
since i've played the real AX, this code makes the procedure to play a track more faithful to the AX machine but there's still some things missing like the results screen with the timer and the AX physics (this can't be restored since the actual game lacks that part).
another thing is that the tracks are rearranged to fit the graphics since the old basic code had them misaligned (the times of each track still don't match up)
the game doesn't save for some reason also. i'm guessing it is a safeguard to prevent it from deleting the GX save or corrupting it.
