FAA Fines Against Unruly Plane Passengers Hit $1M This Year | Will They Discourage Bad Behavior?
Proposed fines assessed by the Federal Aviation Administration against unruly airline passengers have exceeded $1 million this year.
That includes $532,000 in fines levied Thursday against 34 airline passengers accused of disrupting flights, The Washington Post reported. The incidents include a person who threw a carry-on bag at other passengers, another who snorted what appeared to be cocaine out of a bag and another who hid a flight attendant’s jacket.
