Face-To-Face in Himachal Assembly: CM Sukhu, Ex-CM Thakur clash over Cong govt claims in budget session
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the services of the employees, hired during the Corona pandemic and whose tenure ended, will be hired in the future.
The state government is considering retaining the services of outsource employees who were hired during the Covid Pandemic and their pending arrears will be cleared soon, Sukhu added.
641 employees were hired in the Health department and 1275 in the Medical Colleges of Himachal Pradesh.
Sukhu accused the BJP of indulging in petty politics on every issue to score brawny political points.
The Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur tried to take political mileage on the issue which is mere political gimmick. If Thakur and BJP were so sensitive about these appointments, they should have formulated service rules under which they could have protected their interests.
Former CM Jairam Thakur termed the Congress government's assurance and called on Sukhu to retain the employees hired during the Corona pandemic after completion of their tenure.
The services of such employees should not be ignored by the state as they worked in the tough times and took care of patients like an attendant at the time when a family had refused to attend their patient in the hospital. The BJP leader also accused the Sukhu government of not clearing the pending dues of such employees.
