Fallout 3 is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game that takes place in 2277. In the year 2077, the world went into nuclear war. The game takes place 200 years after the bombs fell. The world is stuck in the norms of the 1950s.

We start off in a Vault. Vault 101 to be precise. Outside is the "Capital Wastelands." The ruins that surround Washington D.C. It is here that the game takes place and we are free to make our own destiny!
