Fallout 4 has a new patch (Patch 1.2) out with a few nice fixes in it, good stuff, except it broke our mods! The launcher is disabling the plugins you have installed making it impossible to play with many mods. In this guide I show a quick and easy fix to get your mods working again with the new patch. So the mods aren't really broken with the new patch and you should get it, it's just the instructions to use the plugins are being reset for some reason. We can easily fix this though!

Paste this in your windows explorer bar to get to the fallout 4 plugins.txt file:
%LocalAppData%\Fallout4

Quick Run Down on How to Fix Broken Mod Plugins:
- Make Plugins.txt not read only
- Install your plugins with Nexus Mod Manager
- Make Plugins.txt Read Only
- Run Game

To Install New Plugins:
- Disbale Read Only on Plugins.txt to install new plugins
- Re-enable read only again afterwards.
- Making a shortcut to the Fallout 4 AppData folder like I show in the video will make this a lot easier to do.

What is FALLOUT 4?
Fallout 4 is the latest installment in the Fallout series, which has been taken over by Bethesda. Bethesda's Fallout games take serious inspiration from the Elder Scrolls series of games - huge open worlds, lots of NPCs to interact with and locations to explore. Fallout 4 is set in a post apocalyptic future where history stayed as it was in the 50s but technology took a nuclear path instead. 1950s charms mixed with hostile wastelands create a unique world for players to explore and shape.
