45Okay, time to do some myth busting! The Throatslicer IS NOT the best melee weapon in the game. The Disciples Knife/cutlass in general is not the best melee weapon in the game (See Furious Ripper)
The Disciples blade with the Instigating Prefix is much more powerful than the Throatsicer. The Massive base damage offered by the Instigating effect while enemies are at full health will let you take down even the strongest of gunners in just few hits. And if you add a Snak attack Critical to the mix, im confident you could one-shot Mythic Deathclaws, Dusky Yao Guai, Super Mutant Worlorrds Etc.
The low Action Point usage of this weapon will allow you to do a clean sweep of a room with VATS and Blitz and still have enough AP to quickly sprint across the room to attack another enemy.
