This is how you kill a Legendary Deathclaw with a Straight Razor at level 1 with a single hit in Fallout New Vegas, with a nuclear bomb attached to your blade and some illegal medicine.

Note: This only works with the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC so you need at least the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC for it to work. The Courier's Stash is not necessary but if you don't have it you'll have to get some extra Weapon Repair Kits and a 20 gauge Shotgun. It works on all versions, updates and platforms as far as I know.

In this video I used two glitches:

1- Time Stop: This glitch stops time around you and lets you walk around in 'pipboy mode'.

By mashing the "Place Marker" button whilst bringing up the map screen you can freeze everything around you and still walk around. To undo the glitch simply press on yes or no.

2- Ammo Swapping allows you to load the wrong kind of ammunition into weapons. This glitch only works in Fallout: New Vegas, both PC and Console. However you need a controller to actually perform the glitch on PC.

You require 2 guns and ammunition for one of them (preferably one with lots of cheap ammo)

Equip the weapon with ammo and hold the Hot Key button (RB on an xbox controller)

Whilst still holding the Hot Key button, tap left on the left stick to go over to the ammo screen then bind the selected ammo to your hotkey of choice.

Now equip the other weapon and press the ammo hotkey, and you should load the ammo from the first gun into the second but still keeping the properties of the second guns ammo.

Don't walk too far away though since the game still thinks you are in the pipboy, and will not load new chunks of the world until you deactivate the glitch (or crash if you walk far enough).

Mods used: I only had Clarity which removes the yellow filter from the game making it look cleaner and Reshade enabled, I only used the colorfull and vibrance filters to put some color/saturation back into the game. I also have Imaginator installed but did not enable it. No gameplay altering mods were used and everything should work on any version of the game including the PS3/360 versions(including the mods, other than reshade of course, provided your console is modded).


After all these years New Vegas is still one of my favorite games ever made. I still find crazy ways to play it and do dumb challenge runs like this one. A shame New Vegas 2 by Obsidian will never happen.
