Fallout New Vegas No, Not Much part 2 of 3 Supply Caches and Climb Ev'ry Mountain
Bitter Springs is way east of New Vegas. Talk the eastern road out (not the north-east one that leads to Nellis). Follow the road to either Calville Bay or the Bitter Springs Recreation Area. Might want to pop into the rec area's management office to fetch two star caps and a Tumblers Today.
Bitter Springs is north of the rec area up a mountain pass. Head to the tents at the back end of the grounds to meet Capt. Gilles. She need helps improving and securing the refugee camp.
The quest No, Not Much encompasses the quests Bitter Springs Infirmary Blues and Climb Ev'ry Mountain.
Make sure to speak with medical officer Lt. Markland so you can get the objectives for Infirmary Blues.
First things first, Gilles need some supplies in order to aid the refugees. Lucky for her, the Great Khans have supply caches hidden within local caves. Look at your local map to notice the two caves closest to Bitter Springs. The cache of one of the caves has an easy lock.
The cave nearest to the Bitter Springs command tents contains radioactive waste and giant ants. Take care of the ants and loot two sample of ant nectar on the ground near their eggs. Fetch the cave's supply cache, which is irradiated. You can turn the supplies in if you have +25 science.
The second nearest cave is north of Bitter Springs. Inside, you'll find some Nightstalkers. Kill them or ignore them. The supply cache is behind an easy lock.
The third quest marked cave is the same one you visit for Climb Ev'ry Mountain. To reach it, approach from Bloodborne Cave and look for an alley between a rock and a cliff wall. Before going in, make Boone wait if he is with you and do not wear NCR armor if you want to end Climb peacefully. Inside, you'll meet a Great Khan named Oscar. Oscar can be guided to stop killing refugees with +50 speech. In thanks, he'll give you the Great Khan Supply Cache key. Investigate Oscar's camp for some ammo and backtrack to the beginning of the cave and enter the fenced area for your last supply cache. Beware that the cave has a bear trap if for some reason you want to kill Oscar by sneaking up on him through the tunnel on your right when you enter.
Next, you have to help Lieutenant Markland with medical supplies and training.
You need three doctor bags, a textbook on pediatrics, and a textbook on Refugee psychology. Optionally, Arcade Gannon can give medical training rather than you fetching the books (though, his training takes a few hours). Head to the Crimson Caravan Company to buy what you need. Blake is the main merchant and must be at his stall in order for you to buy the books. If you don't see him, he might have gotten stuck within the employee barracks, and you'll have to go in and nudge some NPCs out of his way.
Buy the books and get three doctor bags into your inventory.
While, you are away from Bitter Springs, might as well complete Capt. Gilles last request by recruiting reinforcements for Bitter Springs. Visit Colonel Hsu at McCarran, Polatli at Forlorn Hope, and MacCredie at Camp Golf.
Each man will agree to send reinforcements if you have already helped their camps by doing quests or if you have a high NCR reputation.
With everything ready/gathered, return to Lt. Markland to deliver the doctor bags and textbooks, and report to Gilles about supplies and Oscar. Ask her how the camp is doing once you've done all you can to get a quest complete.
