Here's some gameplay from the FREE to PLAY, beat 'em up (read on for what you actually can play for FREE), Fantasy Strike on the Nintendo Switch.

You need to register and login to unlock a daily challenge, online casual and ranked matches but most of the modes are locked behind a $15/£14 core pack.

There's also some optional in-game cosmetics stuff you can buy with "gems" you can purchase with real money. It's a shame to have these kinds of restrictions as I'd prefer to pay and play but essentially its a very well presented street fighter style game but with a more complex strategy to the fighting. If you can stomach the pay model, it's worth a look.

One final thing to mention, the controls are confusing! Note to the developer - putting a symbol on the screen and asking you to press something else doesn't work! This is not meant to be brain training!

Fantasy Strike is a colorful fighting game where fantasy meets martial arts. It focuses on depth and strategy rather than difficult execution. It's designed for tournament play, but also to welcome you to the genre if you haven't played other fighting games before. Online play uses the excellent GGPO networking technology. Includes several single player modes.
