Far Cry 4 v4 Part 3
13Two things definitely haven't changed since I first played this game: Ajay has so little personality I'm not surprised they went with a mute guy for the next mainline game and its expansion pack, though FC6's Dani being a quip factory most of the time and an Ajay-style "ok I'll do it because it's right" the rest wasn't better. FC6 will still get a v2 playthrough, for sure, as most games do. The second is how supremely stupid it is to make every action a "hold to do thing" one. Many deaths so far have been precisely because I couldn't heal in time, only because it requires holding C for long enough to even start the process.
This seems to be the last game where they tried putting in some environmental detail. The trees whose branches move when you push into them took me by surprise. 5 had everything be static as possible and I don't remember 6 doing much either. If only there were a Crysis for each release like there was when FC2 was put out, that influenced ubisoft to put that much extra effort into details like fire spread and destructible environments just to compete. I wonder how much of the lack of dynamic physics objects and environmental interaction comes down to laziness, cost cutting, or even just trying shamefully to keep it compatible for 8th gen consoles so far into 9th gen's lifetime, where said 8th gen systems are just woefully underpowered by this point. That doesn't seem right though, since even 7th gen's stagnation and pitiful hardware still had plenty of physics and interactivity.
