Risk of Rain is a fantastic 2D sidescroller RPG roguelike. It has a massive amount of items, monsters, bosses, zones, etc. It hits every single roguelike itch you could have, combined with the great aesthetic and multiplayer modes, you get one of the best games I've ever played.
