In fatal frame we head back to the shinto gate shrine where we learn there is a missing buddha statue on an altar but not long after we notice the folklorist above. Upon taking a photo we get a cutscene and a relatively tough fight. However thanks to the scene the ghost has a pattern to it which helps us defeat it. After doing so we are given a photo of a shinto gate and backtrack to the courtyard only to realize it may not have been the correct one and we were possibly in the right place all along. The ghost dialogue also hinted at finding the missing buddha statue.
