2In fatal frame we return to the shrine in order to solve the strangling ritual puzzle. To do so we have to find the fifth statue which sits at the base of the shinto gate. This is hinted by the notes we pick up at the top of the stairs and from dialogue the ghost gave. However it can be rather confusing considering the statue itself is not visible and there are a few gates in the game. Nonetheless we acquire the fifth statue and solve the altar puzzle in the shrine by placing the statues in their proper places on how the strangling ritual is performed. Not long after, kirie decides to pay miku a visit ending the first night in fatal frame.
