For all of my past and present experience with fighting games (Capcom, Namco, etc.) I was very... VERY... VERY overdue to having a playlist of player matches for an SNK fighter.

So, I finally brought my nerves together to do something about that.

For FOUR days, near the end of February 2025, any curious new and old Fatal Fury players could get try out the Open Beta Test for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

But since it was just a Beta Test, everything in this game is subject to change towards its final release in less than two months (as of this writing, at least). Several menu features and a few characters are still unavailable. This is all just a sample size of what the game is aiming to be (just like with my experience with Street Fighter 6's Closed Beta Test).

All of my Online matches here are on Ranked, but first I had to go through an evaluation test to see which actual Rank I would start at.

I send my literal Day 1 Terry against CPUs of B.Jenet, Rock, and a second B.Jenet. My 2/3 wins here sat me at B-V.

Ranking up in Street Fighter 6 Ranks involves Arabic numbers that go up with a better mineral. Meanwhile, City of the Wolves' are Roman numerals that go down with an earlier letter.

Now to move on to ACTUAL online matches...
