0So I'm gonna go and abuse the first video's description to explain how something like this could happen...
The NA version of the game allows the numbers to overflow, so 256 get displayed as 0, the european one doesn't. I first tested this on the NA version and started a run, but unfortunately I got hit with ransomware and now I couldn't access the old save and rom, so I had to get a new one which just so happened to be european. Also I decided to record it this time to document my suffering this time. I didn't know that it fixed the glitch, so I was blissfully unaware until the epilogue where I started shitting my pants. Then I did another run where I abused macros and speed-up (on h1) to just get by with minimal effort, which I should have done to begin with.
Basically I'm uploading this to put the amount of pain into perspective.
