Feed Me Billy's CD-Rom front cover is based on the theatrical release poster for the 1980 slasher Maniac.
Much like in Texas Butcher (2018), Christmas Massacre (2021), and Blood Maniac (2019), Feed Me Billy is one of the few games by Puppet Combo where the player takes control of a serial killer.
The Soft-core on TV is Totally Nude Aerobics.
The overall concept of the game is inspired by the 1986 film The Abomination, in which a teenage boy becomes a psychotic killer after several red, flesh-eating monsters materialise in his home, and compel him to kill and feed members of his family to them. The design of the flesh-eating hole is also remarkably similar to the creatures, consisting only of a sharp-toothed mouth and being red in colour.
