Here is Nascar Legends running under VMware Player. Typically, I like to run period games on period operating systems. However, the performance of this game was not good under 86Box, and Nascar Legends didn't like SoftGPU either, so WinXP under VMware Player 17 with the Windows 98 Plus "Inside My Computer" theme it is! This isn't too much of a surprise as both Nascar 3 and Nascar Legends both used the same game engine as both titles were developed by Papyrus. The game is configured for software mode.

VMware Player 17 is virtualizing a x86 multimedia PC with a single core processor (AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core Host with each core running at 4.2GHz), 3GB of RAM, and a VESA Compatible display with 3D Acceleration Enabled. Windows is running at the screen resolution of 800 by 600, 32-bit color depth. The VM also has a HD audio device, and a AMD PCnet NIC. Windows XP SP3 is installed with the Plus!98 "Inside My Computer" theme that was copied over from a Windows 98 installation.
