Festival Tycoon : First Look No 2 : Understanding How To Host A Great Festival
13OK, so this is a bit of a cheat. After giving you a 'First Look' at the early Playtest build of Festival Tycoon I realised there was a lot I didn't understand, I then played more of the game and worked out how some of the key game elements worked. So, I thought, it might be fair to offer you another look at the game, one where I actually have some idea about what to do to succeed. The playtest period is over, the game is no longer available to play, and the developer has taken all our feedback and started work on improving and adding to the game in response to these initial player responses. I don't know when I will next be able to play the game but I do intend to bring it back to the channel as soon as I can.
"Festival Tycoon is a music festival management game with additional RTS game play elements.
The game starts with the build-part. Here, the player plans, organizes and manages the location layout, the bands, the line-ups, finances and so on.
Afterwards, the live-part starts. This is where the visitors arrive, and the festival is running. The player has to sort out disputes between visitors, handle arriving bands and make sure, everything is running smoothly. "

I'm not an expert on the game mechanics or logic so I expect to get things wrong from time to time but hopefully you will enjoy these videos as much as I enjoy playing the game.
