I recommend this method if you're just starting out on killing the giant turtles and don't have your weapons and stats up enough to handle them otherwise. And looking for an easy way out (can still be done low-level with the right strategy).

I used this from the start upon advice from others. Basically, summon to get the turtle to fall down, do the big attack to get rid of the summon, and then have Vanille keep casting Death while the other 2 SABs do their thing. Death's chances of working and killing increase with the more SABs and more status ailments it has (and the higher the role of the SABs). it won't work everyime, but it will work more than 1%.

Once I had my stats up and weapongs upgraded, I started using other ways to get it done that would take out the turtle every time.

This is mostly SAB/SAB/SAB. I had switched to SYN/SYN/SYN to get Haste back and coincidentally, that's when Death finally worked in this example.
