FF7R Easy Mode Any% Airbuster (2:12 Fight, Read Description)
This is an Airbuster strat for the Easy Mode Any% run. A lot goes on in this fight and there are plenty of places for it to go wrong, in which case you have to improvise. As a result, it's pretty difficult to explain in text.
This is a 2:12 from the start of the fight to the final hit, with the only major mistake being an accidental switch to Tifa at the start of phase 3. Strat details below.
Phase 1:
Punisher 1 - Switch to Operator - Punisher 3 - Thunder - Focused Shot - Punisher 3 - Berserk - Thunder - Punisher 2
Phase 2:
Punisher 3* - Berserk - Switch to Operator - Overcharge
Dash - Berserk - Thunder x2 - Divekick - Punisher 3 - Focused Shot** - Berserk - Punisher 3 - Thundara
(Punisher 3 - Berserk after hitting HP gate to have ATB and Berserk for next phase)
*You want the hits of Punisher 2 and Punisher 3 to connect after the cutscene so they do damage
**Depending on the timing here, either Cloud or Barret will get the stagger (you want Cloud to get it). If Barret gets this stagger, tank the hits in Phase 4 with Cloud to get limit up.
Phase 3:
Thundara - Thunder - Overcharge
Repeat Barret Combos and Thunders while building Overcharge
Use Tifa's Thunder whenever it is available
When Airbuster shoots the stun mines, make sure no one gets stunned. If he stuns any of the party, he goes for Big Bomber instead of coming forward.
After Airbuster comes forward: Focused Shot to tank the flames - Combo until pressured - Focused Shot to Stagger - Fire in the Hole - Triple Slash + Overpower - Punisher 3 - Berserk
Phase 4:
If you need limit on Cloud, counter the first hit and tank the rest.
Cross Slash. This kills if you have Berserk up. If you don't, switch to Tifa and kill with Overpower.
