Ifrit 3* can be somewhat cheesed with the right setup. What you need the most is a tank that can cover for magic attacks. (Charlotte, Mistair, or Basch are great for this). This can either be a friend, or one of your own units. Second thing you need is someone that can provide Barfiraga (aka 70% fire resist buff). On your tank you will want 130% base Fire Resist. Combined together with the 70% buff, you will end up with 200% fire resist, leaving you with 100% even after the -100% fire resist debuff that Ifrit applies to your team.

Once that's set up, all you need to do is AoE cover every time with your tank... and sit back and enjoy the show. Try to bring a unit with mitigation as well to reduce the random damage inflicted by the ST attacks. (Notable units for this are Crowe, or 9S, who both apply a 30% mitigation buff).
