• Duckstation PS1 Emulator Setup Guide
[How to run duckstation and unzip files. How to use files in description.]
Use 7 zip to extract iso files. I think it's good to make a new folder on windows desktop and rename it to what the extracted files are called. Some cheat codes come with the duckstation ps1 emulator. I think someone should right click on the game they added to duckstation and go to properties and look for cheats to the middle left of the menu.
If someone added the folder they made to duckstation it will appear there. If someone looked in the files they might not see the files there. I added the folder anyway with the files in it and duckstation added the games anyway.
To add game go to settings on the top of the duckstation emulator and then go to add game directory. it's the third menu from the bottom of the settings menu. Then I think someone should look for the folder they made and add it to the duckstation emultator. I added the folder that was extracted from inside the new renamed folder I made.
Cheats can also be activated from the system menu, thats at the top left corner of the duckstation emulator when the game is running.
To setup controller, click on the controller menu from the settings menu. If someone clicked on the controller buttons that are shown in the menu and then pressed the button on their controller for it should then work as that button their controller. I changed the controller type type to digital controller from one of the menus and my controller worked. It should be at controller port 1 analog controller to the left of the menu screen for controller. If someone clicked that and then the top left drop down box I think they would be able to see the different controller types they can change their port to. I think for pc xbox pads or maybe regular xbox pads, the digital type should work instead of analog controller.
If someone double left clicked on a game in duckstation, I think a menu would appear to start the game. If a menu appeared, then I think someone should double click the game name that's there. I think maybe if a game didn't have two disc the game might start automatically if someone double clicked that game.
