Fighting Street TurboGrafx-CD PC-Engine CD Retro Game Session
0Fighting Street is a TurboGrafx-CD/PC-Engine CD port of the first game in the Street Fighter franchise. This version was re-released on the Wii's Virtual Console service. During the time of its release in 1987, it was the most arcade-accurate version of Street Fighter available for home systems and the only version of the first Street Fighter game available for home consoles (there was a port of Street Fighter planned for the NES, but it was cancelled). This version has sounds ripped straight from the arcade, including the infamous Street Fighter voices, whose low sample quality in the arcades made them almost inaudible (as well as giving each fighter the same voice on their winning/losing screens), but its soundtrack, due to it being released on the TurboGrafx-CD, is more realistic than the arcade, in fact, it is one of the first video games to have music that sounds like real music, rather than 8-bit or 16-bit chiptune “beep-beep-boop-boops”.
