Fight'N Rage is part of the current trend of indies reviving long dormant genres. However, most of these games are often mediocre. Fight'N Rage isn't. One of the best beat 'em ups on the market, Fight'N Rage follows the trend of previous arcade beat 'em ups with a few playable characters, combo-based combat, and well designed baddies. It also has that parry from Street Fighter III, you know the one, from that one EVO that one time. You can parry enemy attacks within a 3 frame window and punish with one of the characters special moves for free, allowing for a game that greatly rewards player skill. My only criticism with this game is the length. You can beat it an an hour, probably, but I like my beat 'em ups within a 30 - 45 minute time frame, usually.
