Final Doom (PSX): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 01 (Attack)
For whatever reason, this is unpopular compared to the original. Why so?
The lack of secret maps?
The lack of variety in chosen monsters?
The fact that there is no Spider Mastermind anywhere on any skill?
Or is it because we only get half of what the box advertised, with the other half consisting of 'The Master Levels', a bunch of maps that were originally user-made add-ons for PC Doom II?
Probably all of them.
But who gives a fuck, I'm playing through it anyway, because despite all these problems it's really not that bad.
Here's the first map. For an opening level, it's surprisingly non-linear in layout, with various ways of getting to most areas. There's also a number of weapons scattered about, although this is to a ridiculous extent; the stage is way too generous for handing out so much firepower so early on.
