Final Fantasy 1 NES Challenge Run - 4 Red Mages Part 3
0This is the third and final part of my challenge run for 4 Red Mages in Final Fantasy NES. I played on a randomizer ROM with improved vanilla settings so the movement and battles were faster, as well as allowing me to buy 10 of an item at a time. More importantly, the spells worked to -- I purchase Temper and sometimes remember to use it! This was a fun challenge, and the Red Mages' spells helped me level up quickly in the early game.
After realizing my characters were too low leveled, I went to Sea Shrine and used the Sea Shrine pile of pain get some levels on them. I left the 4th character dead. He would not have a Ribbon in Temple of Fiends and take too much damage. After restocking on potions, I headed down. Taking a Nuke from Lich caused some problems with the potion count, so I ended up using the Heal Staff and White Shirt to grind out HP on a couple of fights. Finally, I took on Chaos and remembered that I had the Temper spell, something I'd forgotten.
