So... this game added a lot of moving parts and new mechanics to the combat system and they really do work against each other a lot.
The same fight that some consider the hardest in the game can be tank/spanked by a level 20 party because the game's mechanics make the whole thing unbalanced to either be too difficult because you dared to level up, or too easy because you dared to abuse the junctioning/GF transmuting systems.
What a strange game.
