I have gone ahead and made additional characters for every occupation. This way I can make use of merchants, blacksmiths, and tailors within Tipa. After a few years, they will the best options for crafting weapons and accessories. In order to 'level up' these professions, make sure to "set out" as that character at least once a year - even if you don't beat dungeons with them. My recommendation would be to have each character (or at least the blacksmith, tailor, and merchant) visit their families once a year and collect their yearly 'allowance'. This will level up the professions for your main character to use. After all, your best weapons and accessories can ONLY be crafted in Tipa.
