Final Boss of Final Fantasy III.

If Cloud of Darkness wasn't the Boss that made you change your very strategies that you were using throughout the rest of the game, the Iron Giant will likely be it if you ever consider going against it. You probably even don't want to consider even attempting to go against this Boss unless your party members are all at least Level 82, or have a very consistent strategy if attempting to take it on below that.

The Iron Giant is the strongest Boss in the game hands down, being able to act four times per round and capable of huge amounts of damage. EVERY party member should be put in the backrow. Potential extra damage from frontrow is really not worth the risk and will likely just end up with the party members in the frontrow knocked out quickly and/or commonly during the battle.

Have every party member equip a Ribbon, Aegis Sheild, or even a Onion Sheild depending on what your party is. It may not look like it, but the Iron Giant's physical attacks are capable of various negative status effects. It is recommended and practically needed to have a dedicated healer for this battle since the Iron Giant is capable of so much damage.

Arise may be a requirement for this battle if you're not confident that you could keep your party healthy through the whole battle, but it's actually much more recommended to attempt to not let any party member get KOed at all in this battle. Other revival methods will not likely work here, as you should definitely make much use of each of each of your party member's turns rather than waste two of them to fully recover one party member.

The Iron Giant is capable of using Meteor, which isn't too bad if your party members are magic resistent enough and has a good enough healer. However, if you manage to even get the Iron Giant's HP down to a certain point, it's the point where things can get extremely dangerous: It'll start using a attack called Swipe, which hits all party members with MASSIVE damage.

This Boss requires patience and some good enough planning, and the process can be a long one. If you apply both, you may be able to defeat it.

Personal Experience:

Okay, the grinding in this game can become extremely painful, as it did for me. The best grind spots to train are either around the Secret Dungeon, at the Crystal Tower first floor, or from what i hear, around Bahumut's Lair. That's it. The amount of EXP that monsters gives you start to become very negligible after your party reaches a certain Level. I found it the least painful to grind from fighting the Dragons found around the Secret Dungeon, but you could also take advantage of the Bloch monsters around the Crystal Tower and their ability to summon allies into battle, making it possible to accumulate a lot of EXP from one battle. I'm not so sure about Bahamut's Lair, but I just heard things about it being a good grind spot, and you could try it yourself if you want.

At some point, I got tired of grinding and just wanted to get "good enough" to be able to take on the Boss at all, so I looked up a good strategy that could be used against Iron Giant and applied said strategy in this battle. Makes me wonder why I didn't bother to use a Viking or a Bard before...more so a Viking, actually. I didn't think much about that class until now.

Also, wow...the way the RNG in this game works continued to annoy me to no end. Can you believe that I had to SLOW DOWN my Ninja in order to keep my strategy in this battle working consistently? What happened before this was: We get to the point where Iron Giant starts to use Swipe, and it uses it AFTER my Devout heals the whole party, then after that round, it then continued on it's original pattern. And he did it every time I attempted it before slowing down my Ninja. What. The. Heck. Game.

I will show as much content as possible of the game, but this is not a speed run nor a perfect run. Hope you will enjoy this Playthrough/Walkthrough/Let's Play/Gameplay.
