Exclusive to this remake, you’ll access a new place called the Cave of Trials. In basement 8 of the cave, approach a weapon called Thor's Hammer, but in order to take it, you must first have a duel with a Death Mech. The Death Mech will often use the flare spell, which strikes your entire team. If it shoots lasers, that could mean trouble, but the piercing lasers aren’t as powerful. Using shell spells are recommended to reduce the damage, and curing spells can be used to heal your team. After the battle, Thor's Hammer will be all yours.
