Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Guide to Capturing Monsters
*Read description first*
Because Hunters and Morphers go well together.
Key Notes:
- First things first, the jobs you need.
Hunter
- Gets unlocked after learning two Action skills for Hume Archers.
Morpher
- Gets unlocked after learning five Action skills for Nu Mou Beastmasters.
- And now the steps you must remember:
1) Have a Hunter with Capture. Capturing gives you the weapon the Morpher needs to morph into the respective monster. (As such, you will never see Soul items being sold at shops).
2) Weaken a monster to its possible lowest HP count.
3) The maximum accuracy rate you can get from trying to capture a monster is 24% at 1 HP.
4) A status effect will NOT increase the capture rate.
5) You really can't capture all kinds of monsters. The monsters you can't capture are any undead, rockbeast, fairy, tonberry monsters.
6) Then there are other special monsters, like the ones you are sent to KO or the ones with special names.
7) Oh, and the normal monster you are trying to capture cannot be the last unit in a normal battle, so make sure there's another enemy alive.
- Finally, once you capture the monster, you can raise it at the shop feeding it items. Goblins, for example, love Maiden's Kiss, but they hate Antidotes.
- Constantly feeding them items boosts their stats, which are then passed on to the Morpher using their soul commands to take on the monster's skills and stats. Virtually speaking, money can quickly become rather useless later, and so it's totally possible to have a maxed-out Morpher at a low level...
- One more thing. A numbered mission becomes available through the Monster Shop once you have captured at least 5 monsters.
Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
