Final Fantasy V - Pixel Freemaster is an amazing romhack which is a conglomerate of work from many different skilled programmers. It improves EVERY aspect of this game. I cannot stress that enough! I'm going to walk you through using this ips patch, plus a couple additional patches in the Freemaster patch archive which give you control over random encounters and double the amount of ability points, experience points, and money received.

Also, I show you the two patches you need to restore the original dash ability, similar to what was used in Final Fantasy VI. The Pixel Freemaster romhack is EXCELLENT, but the dash always happens with no walking speed in the game when you are playing and during the cutscenes. These two patches used in the correct order will restore the dash ability to being the player's choice.

WARNING: Do not use the "L&R Button Leader Swap (Cubear)" patch in combination with the two other optional patches I use from the Pixel Freemaster folder. I have at least tested this combination on Snes9x but not bSnes yet. On Snes9x, as soon as the video cuts to the part with Bartz riding on Boco, the screen goes black and it locks up completely. I have tested this combination multiple times, and for sure it is not compatible with Snes9x, even though I consider that emulator to have a high degree of compatiblity.
