Final Fantasy VI - No Magicite/No Relic Run - Stream 04 - Part 6
0This is my fourth stream for Final Fantasy VI which was hosted on January 7, 2016 at 0900 EST and went on for roughly three hours before stopping.
My goal is to find out how hard the game is to beat without using Magicite which grants the ability for all characters to learn every spell and acquire stat boosts upon each level up. To add more misery to pain, I am denying myself Relic (or accessories) which also grant boons to characters in battle and can sometimes break the challenge of the game.
Since this is a echo of a Twitch stream, there are going to be some technical issues such as missed frames and dropped sequences due to bandwidth issues as well as audio level inbalances, most should be eliminated by now however. Despite this, please forgive those and enjoy the playback!
In this 8-part stream, our heroes devise a ploy with Kira as bait to trick Gambit into lending his airship to reach the Imperial continent to the south where upon they infiltrate the capital city of Vector. Once inside, they snoop around the Magitek Research facility and realize that only by Esper's dying can their power truly be transferred in full. Taking what they can, they make a daring escape back to Zozo where Tetra reacts to the dead Magicite of her father, Maduin and we learn a bit about her past. We then discuss with Banon, leader of the returners, about the next course of action which is to investigate this Sealed Gate where the Esper world resides behind in hopes Tetra may be able to recruit their assistance; thus they set off for the gate with hopeful prayers...
