171A short showcase video demonstrating the remarkable strides and improvements the Final Fantasy VII PC modding community has made recently. 60 FPS, 4K upscaled textures, real time shadows and more! The original and more recent PC port (available on Steam) is about as low effort as you can get - real time models being rendered in high resolutions that clash heavily with the pixelated 240p backgrounds, 15fps battles and cutscenes, etc... The modding community has done a wonderful job preserving this classic game and you can see some of the current offerings here. I like to keep it all as close to the original artstyle as possible, but for those of you who want stuff like Advent Children screenshots for menu portraits you can do that too. Instructions for setting up 7th Heaven (it's super easy anyway) are in the video. All you need is a copy of FF7 on PC, both the 1998 and Steam versions are compatible, and the mod manager 7th Heaven. And yes, it covers the whole game! My current save is only up until the end of Midgar, that's why most of the footage takes place there :)
