Final Fantasy VII Remake is released on March 3 next year for the PlayStation 4.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will feature a classic turn-based gameplay mode, so you can play the game much like how it worked on the original PlayStation.

This means that this classic mode will use the Active Time Battle, or ATB, system. In that for the original Final Fantasy VII, you would wait around until the ATB Gauge filled up and then select a move to initiate your attack. With this new classic mode in the remake, the team have re-created the same style of play.

It’s an extension of the original turn-based strategy setup used in the first three Final Fantasy games and has been a staple of the series since the SNES era and it was a big part of how the original Final Fantasy VII played.
