Cloud is a mercenary who is an ex-soldier is hired by Barret of eco-extremist group Avalanche to aid in the destruction of the Shinra Corporation's Mako reactors. These reactors are using the planet's life-energy and transforming it into electricity to power the incredible steel metropolis of Midgar. Cloud will meet many friends along the way, and make plenty of enemies, all the while giving glimpses into the demons of his mysterious past. This is a greatly expanded remake of the Midgar portion of the original, and features new characters, missions and cutscenes while following the blueprint of one of the most iconic games ever made.
