Prerequisites: Tidus and Wakka must have their Celestial Weapons powered up and max Strength (enough Luck to crit Earth Eater reliably is helpful, but without that you just attack a couple times). Tidus, Wakka and Rikku must have sufficiently high Magic Defense and HP to survive the Flare counter, especially while building up Tidus and Wakka's Luck. You also need a decent stockpile of gil as each cycle costs about 116,000 though Earth Eater can drop 4 slot Triple Overdrive weapons which sell for 150,187 sometimes. I recommend repeatedly oneshotting Sleep Sprout with Auron / Masamune at 1 HP being the earliest place to start farming this - on non-ambushes this can be combined with AP farming weapons and Victor Overdrive mode to gain 3 levels per fight on 2 characters. This adds up fast. The Teleport Sphere drops should then be customized onto weapons bought from Kilika for a 25,000 profit per Teleport Sphere alongside selling Sleep Sprout's drops to make about 7 million gil in an hour. ANYWAY, the Luck strat:

1. Fight Earth Eater. Tidus uses Slice and Dice to knock Earth Eater down and avoid Megaton Punch. Wakka uses Attack Reels. Rikku uses Entrust on Wakka, Optionally, heal whoever gets hit by Flare. Wakka uses Attack Reels again. If your Luck isn't high enough yet then just use some regular attacks - Quick Hit takes longer to menu to. 87.5% of the time Earth Eater drops 2 Fortune Spheres.
2. Fight a Maelspike from Gagazet. Bribe it for 100,000 gil, then 1 additional gil each time. Each Bribe has a 25% chance to succeed. Most of the time you get 1 Attribute Sphere, but rarely you can get more than 1. If you have tons of extra gil lying around, then 250,000 gil will guarantee a successful bribe and increase the chance of getting 2+. This battle refills Overdrives for the next Earth Eater, and the cycle repeats.
3. When you're done, sell the drops and activate the luck nodes. This method gets about 60 Luck node activations in an hour.

This is less expensive than repeatedly bribing for Attribute Spheres, more reliable than farming Dark Yojimbo for Master Spheres, and faster than just farming Earth Eater.
Greater Sphere is an easier fight to get the Luck Spheres in the first place: Slice and Dice + Attack Reels is sufficient, though the party will take a Hydraulic Press counter for 15/16ths max HP (can be reduced by Protect).
