Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System (PS2) on OSSC - Component 480i 4X Bob Interlace
This is test footage of FFXII International Zodiac Job System edition on real PlayStation 2 hardware being hooked on an OSSC (v. 1.6) interlaced line multiplier device. My PS2 is hooked up using official PlayStation Component cables into the OSSC, while being recorded on the Elgato Cam Link 4K. Final Fantasy XII runs at a resolution of 480i, and my OSSC settings for the PS2 are as follow:
Internal (input) Resolution: 480i
Line multiplication: Quadruple (4X Bob, 940p)
Aspect ratio: 4:3 (video footage stretched to 16:9-ish later in the video)
External (output) Resolution: 1920 x 1080p
Video bitrate: approximately 16 mbps (16000 kbps)
I'd normally do 5x, but because I use a splitter to display on a 15 year-old 1280 x 1024 monitor, I can't record and output 5x footage at the same time, so 4x is what you're seeing. The results are still good, but I'd have to shrink/crop the output to have a border on the top and bottom to get it to look right on my display from here on out.
Also, I could not get footage to record on my Elgato HD 60S, possibly due to the fact that I use Component cables rather than RGB SCART, so I had to switch to an Elgato Cam Link 4K instead. However, the results I'm getting are fantastic, so I'll only use RGB SCART for older consoles like the original PlayStation (PSX).
