This is a quick way to earn CP near the beginning of Chapter 11. Head to the destination mark until you reach the mines. Take a left where the road splits until you reach the area with the 5 Hoplites right before the 1st Juggernaut. Take them out and backtrack to the battle with the 2 Hoplites and the 3 Ice Bombs.
You'll need to have Sazh learn Haste and Firaga while Hope needs to learn Firaga and Thundaga. If they don't have access to those abilities then you'll have a tough time defeating the Ice Bombs and they'll most likely Self-Destruct, costing you a lot of CP or even the battle itself.
I find this method easier than defeating the King Behemoth but that's just me.
