The video tells most of the important information. I'm finally caught up on my SRC run, but it might be a little while before I get to recording. I've got one more video ready to send out, but I have a good deal of grinding to do before I feel comfortable enough to move on.

As I say in the video, you can put a bangle on Light and make this a much simpler fight. However, it gets a bit boring that way, and you're not doing a lot of damage, meaning it's even harder to get 5 stars on every fight. Through most of my grinding, I skipped past the tougher group because it simply wasn't worth the extra time. It's kinda fun to dodge the enemies too, so it keeps you more awake.

With this set up, once I got it figured out, I really didn't die very often. I'd let Hope die if he was sucking out as per normal, but otherwise, I just let it go.

In other news, I figured out more or less where I want to go with weaponry with a lot of help from the folks at gamefaqs. Some of them are actually quite nice, surprisingly.

Suggested weapons:
Light - Edged Carbine until 5th Ark, then lvl 1 Axis Blade
Fang - Bladed Lance until Partisan, then Taming Pole
Hope - Hawkeye and Simurgh. Will need both.
Vanille - Rod of Thorns when available. Doesn't matter much till then.
Snow - Wild Bear. Stay at Wild Bear until Curas aren't as effective, then upg to lvl 2
Sazh - Deneb Duellers. Not a useful character until very late game.

I've also got a Pandoran Spear and a Belladonna Wand that I've been upgrading before I got this info, so I'll probably dismantle those at T3* for Traps.

T3* required:
Taming Pole - for everything
Hawkeye - M63, helpful for Orphan 2
Simurgh or Rod of Thorns for Attacus.
Pearlwing Staff - M63
Deneb Duellers - M64, M62

I'll see how much grinding I feel like doing when the time comes. I'm not sure if I want to go through all the missions yet, but I know it's possible to 5* all missions in SRC.

I'm doing a challenge run of FF13. Hopefully I will be able to complete it, but I've never done a challenge run before, so no promises.

SRC stands for Secondary Role Challenge. The guide I am using can be found on GameFAQs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/928790-final-fantasy-xiii/faqs/62259

NCU stands for No Chrystarium Usage. The guide I am using can be found on GameFAQs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/928790-final-fantasy-xiii/faqs/59596

The SRC run begins identical to NCU in that you cannot touch your Chrystarium for the first half of the game. Once the secondary roles are unlocked, one may ONLY use or upgrade those roles.
