To start this seasonal event go pick up the quest Reigniting the Festivities in Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks, NPC is Haermaga(X:11 Y:13). You need to be level 30 or higher.

After that and going to the location you'll be tasked with collecting seven faire tokens. You can get these in two ways, by completing the special seasonal FATEs that are located by the new area in Costa Del Sol. The other option is crafting or buying some battered fish to complete the repeatable quest. You get can exchange one battered fish for one token but keep in mind you'll have to click through the quest every single time, there's no bulk option for it. Each FATE completed with gold ranking will award two tokens so maybe FATES might be faster and can be used on lower level jobs like a DK you may not have tried yet.

To make battered fish you'll need one of each of the following:

1.Haddock: Just buy it from the festive fisher from 4 gil he's in the new area hard to miss.
2.Popoto: Gather it from level 16 nodes in Eastern Thanalan or buy them from the market board.
3.Table Salt from the Sahagin beast tribe vendor. Only requires base reputation to purchase. I believe the Culinarian guild vendor also sells it.
4.Olive Oil from the Sahagin beast tribe vendor. Only requires base reputation to purchase. I believe the Culinarian guild vendor also sells it.

But yeah this year there isn't much new. Just the swimsuit, the leg equip that goes with it, the stripped variation of the swimsuit and the new furniture item. The rest is older stuff from previous years. Still it's nice this year is rather simple.

Last year was better though and more summer themed but oh well, this helps with FATE grinding in the area at least.
