Final Fantasy XV: Game Origin Revealed (2006 Trailer Somnus Song Translated) FFXV
Game Origin Secrets to the game Final Fantasy 15 (FFXV). In 2006, the first teaser trailer was released revealing the game Final Fantasy Versus XIII. This trailer had a Latin song Somnus (which means sleep), and was Composed by Yoko Simoumura, and sung by Aundrea L. Hopkins. What most did not notice was that this song actually gave deep meaning to the story of FF15 (named FF Versus XIII at that time). Video contains the Latin lyrics, and an English translation (Subtitle) of the song used in Final Fantasy XV (FFXV). You can also see that Noctis is actually asleep during the beginning portion of the game, and the first phrase from the song is "God Sleeps", pointing to Noctis as a God like divinity. #ffxv
The complete Latin lyrics to Somnus is below (English Translation in Video):
Deus dormit
Et liberi ignem faciunt
Numquam extinguunt
Ne expergisci possit
Omnia dividit
Tragoedia coram
Amandum quae
Et nocte perpetua
In desperatione
Auroram videre potest
Mane tempus expergiscendi.
