Final Fantasy XV - Loading Comparison: PS4 VS PS4 Pro With SSD
25I just made the switch to PS4 Pro today and upgraded the drive on that to SSD. Here I demonstrate the significantly reduced loading times endured with Final Fantasy XV.
Different games may have varying comparisons, this shows the improvement with Final Fantasy XV only! There are other videos covering other big titles.
The drive I installed is "ADATA Premier SP550 960GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Superior Read & Write up to 520MB/s & 490MB/s Solid State Drive (ASP550SS3-960GM-C)" [Amazon heading].
Regular PS4s are also upgradable to SSD. Theoretically, PS4 Pro has the better potential because of its SATA 3 interface. Debate about that aside, I submit to you my personal test on this game with both models.
DISCLAIMER: Footage taken from my own (launch day) PS4 and (brand new) PS4 Pro so this is an extreme example. Other models may vary so you'll need to judge this against your own system and draw your own conclusion.
