Previously, the party completed Takka's sidequest "Emergency Delivery" and started his next quest, "Everyone Loves Beans" (except for Noctis). Then, they carried out Cindy's quest "The Ever Regal Regalia". This netted them the Aero Wax, which they can install to improve the Regalia's fuel economy. They will do that in this video.
Since I played last, version 1.25 was installed.
At Hammerhead, Cindy has another quest to offer (time 0:57). Her next quest is "The Ever Elegant Regalia". The party must search for a certain type of ore in the Balouve Mines southeast of Longwythe.
At the driveway entrance to Hammerhead, the party finds a datalog entry for Hammerhead (time 2:09). I'm not sure if I got this before, so I'm getting it now.
At Takka's Pit Stop, the party takes on the Level 15 hunt "Raindrops in the Night" (time 3:15). The mark is one Jumbo Flan in the Weaverwilds to the northwest of Hammerhead. It only appears at night. Not only do you have to worry about daemons at night, you also have to worry about Imperial paratroopers. Good thing the party has chocobo rentals now, right?
A bit north by northwest of Hammerhead, the party finds a treasure spot that yields a Megalixir (time 4:38). Beautiful!
The Jumbo Flan materializes by a tower north by northwest of Hammerhead (time 5:43). It is resistant to all weapon attacks but not to magic. Fortunately, it can be poisoned. I initiate a Cross-chain in this battle, a fairly good way of dealing damage.
By some rocks north of the hunt site, there is a treasure spot that yields a Bronze Bangle (time 7:55). This increases HP by 50.
On the way back to Hammerhead, a spot yields a Debased Coin (time 9:18).
In Hammerhead, the party reports in to Takka (time 10:18). "Raindrops in the Night" complete! They earn 2 rank stars, 2,390 gil, and a Megalixir. Takka has no more hunts available at the party's current rank.
The party talks to Cindy (time 11:58). To install the Aero Wax, you have to go under "Customize the Regalia", then choose "Install" and enable the Aero Wax. When this is done, choose "Select" at the bottom, and the Aero Wax will be installed.
The party uses the glorified RV trailer to rest until morning (time 13:02). Prompto reaches Photography Level 5 and gains the Dawn filter.
In the morning, the party begins driving to Longwythe Rest Area (time 15:07).
Along the way, Prompto speaks up (time 16:11). He assigns the quest "Photo Op: Mountain". He wants to take a picture of Longwythe Peak. When Noctis accepts, Ignis will stop the car right away.
The photo spot is just north of the road (time 17:21). Prompto will take his picture. "Photo Op: Mountain" complete! Each party member earns 200 EXP. Easy.
The party resumes their drive to the Longwythe Rest Area (time 18:30). Upon arrival, Noctis picks up some more chocobo rental time.
At the Crow's Nest Diner in Longwythe, the party picks up the Level 18 hunt "Cranky Crustaceans" (time 19:42). The mark is a group of three Shieldshears roaming around the east of Longwythe Peak.
The party sets out in the Regalia (time 20:29). There is no special parking spot for this hunt, so the party takes the Regalia onto the dirt road leading to the Three Valleys parking spot.
Near where they park, they find another stranded motorist (time 22:00). This poor fellow issues the quest "Unlucky Driver". He also requires a Repair Kit.
The party hands over a Repair Kit (time 22:32). "Unlucky Driver" complete! Each party member earns 300 EXP, and the party earns 500 gil.
At the target area for "Cranky Crustaceans", the party finds three Shieldshears (time 23:35). They are weak to spears, firearms, and ice-elemental damage. Ignis's Enhancement technique levels up during this battle, as does Gladio's Tempest.
After the battle, Ignis gets a culinary brainwave (time 26:49). He learns the recipe "Creamy Crustacean Omelette". It requires Eos Green Peas, Birdbeast Egg, and Shieldshears Claw. It boosts Attack, Magic, and HP.
Back in the Longwythe Rest Area, the party reports in to the tipster (time 29:22). "Cranky Crustaceans" complete! The party earns 2 rank stars, 3,160 gil, and another Megalixir. Those Megalixirs will come in handy, believe me.
Next time, the party will continue their sidequesting.
Thanks for watching!
