- LEVEL 40 or higher
- ANTIDOTE (for Poison)
- SMELLING SALTS (for Confusion)
- ELIXIRS (to refill the HP bar)
- TECH TURBOCHARGER
- TECH DAMAGE (Ascension Node)
- IMPULSE Technique for Gladio (Ascension Node)
- RIBBON (so the other guys don't get Poisoned/Confused)
- MOOGLE CHARM (for increased EXP after the battle)
Only pursue this Quest if your Party is at level 40+ and well-equipped with items that prevent Poison/Confusion! The Cactuars may only be level 15 but multiply them by 10 and it makes combat a big headache!
Before joining the fight, equip Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto with the Ribbon accessory (if you've found them all) so that you don't waste Antidotes and Smelling Salts on them. The battle will be intense and you can't waste time healing all three guys every time they get inflicted with ailments. If you don't have the Ribbon, then be sure to have plenty of Antidote and Smelling Salts handy!
That being said, there's no need to waste time fighting all of the Cactuars yourself because you can just let Gladio do all the work for you! A fast and easy way to complete this challenge is to equip the Tech Turbocharger item (Noctis only) and unlock the Tech Damage Ascension Node. Run around the area and let the Cactuars attack Noctis purposely so that he takes damage to fill the Tech Bar. The more damage Noctis takes from their 1,000 Needles attack, the faster the Tech Bar will increase and fill up to MAX each time.
Once the Tech Bar is full, have Gladio unleash a level 3 Impulse attack on all of the Cactuars. If done correctly, one swing can kill up to 5-6 of them in one blow (or even more depending how many spawn). The more Cactuars you can lure near Gladio, the better!
Repeat the strategy several more times (be sure to consume Elixirs and Antidotes to prevent Noctis from getting killed!) to dwindle down the Cactuars quickly with Gladio's Impulse technique and you'll complete the challenge in under 5 minutes without even breaking a sweat.
The timed quests can be completed as many times as needed but you only gain EXP points afterwards. The rest like AP, Oracle Coins, and Gil are only awarded once. Coouge playing Final Fantasy XV! I can't believe I've played this game for over 188+ hours. It was fun but the gameplay is too repetitive. Mostly just keep warp striking and holding O you'll win 90% of all the battles including bosses. I think FFXII is the best FF game. They just have to remake it and add more to the story. Still FFXV is a good game. If you wish to play it, guy buy it now :) #FFXV
