FINAL FANTASY XVI Ultima Necron NO DAMAGE Medal of Valor
11Fifteenth Medal of Valor from Ultima Necron at Drake's Spine.
This is a difficult battle if you come unprepared. My solution was to try and staggger Ultima as quickly as possible and rely on Diamond Dust to build up the damage multiplier so I can unleash a level 5 Zantetsuken. Had to take advantage of Rift Slip to spam all of my abilities and also not burn through the stagger meter while building up a second level 5 Zantetsuken.
It's a shame no matter what I try I was not able to stagger Ultima Necrom a second time before he moved to the final phase.
I managed to combine Diamond Dusk, Lightning Rod, Dancing Steel, Judgement Bolt to chew away 50% of the stagger bar almost immediatly. Would have also abused Will-O-Wysk but then I would not have Diamond Dust back for when the boss staggers and iMO that is a loss of a lot of damage.
