Finally Fielding a Proper Rampart Army | Heroes of Might and Magic 3 - Part 3
8With our first steps out in the middle area we are exploring to see what we can find. Purple and Blue are out and grabbing the centre towns so we need to keep up. At the same time, the army of free recruits we have had for some time will need to be replaced so that we can get a proper big army. Let's see how it goes.

Horn of the Abyss is a fan made expansion which improves Heroes 3 in several ways. It adds two new factions, Cove and Factory, and focuses a lot on making the water interactions more interesting and also adds new artefacts and adventures buildings. It also adds a new campaign to show off the factions and items.

Several of the quality of life improvements in this video is done by installing the HD mod which is a fan mod which makes the game fit newer computer screens. It also adds a lot of useful shortcuts for managing the troops and a lot of other neat stuff. It works for both regular Heroes 3 as well as for Horn of the Abyss.
